Three Colors is a 16mm film installation comprised of three films running in loops, each approximately 30 seconds in length (click here for video). The installation contains elements of dualities juxtaposed against one another: the silent films are made coherent by the sound of the projector, the size and brightness of the films draw the viewer in for a closer look, but cannot be viewed too closely for the light emanated becomes blinding. The still and private moments depicted are shattered by the presence of the blue film arousing the viewer’s awareness of his or her position as a voyeur.
